This week, we're focusing on 10 incredible new apps that have recently launched and are truly worth downloading. They're all completely free and offer useful and surprisingly impressive functionalities. Let's dive in! Don't forget to check out last week's noteworthy apps as well!
New Mobile Apps
1. Swift AI
This new Android app gives you access to an AI assistant from anywhere while using your phone. After launching Swift AI, a floating icon appears on your screen. Tapping on it brings up a pop-up window where you can ask the AI questions and receive instant answers. You don't have to leave your current app or stop the video you're watching.
The app is incredibly simple and offers features like chat history, full-screen display, and a widget to directly enable or disable the app from your home screen. Unfortunately, the app isn't completely free, as it operates on a points system that can be topped up with a small fee. However, you'll generally receive enough free points just by installing the app to test out the AI assistant's capabilities.
This is a truly fantastic app for iPhone users! It allows them to add useful and practical widgets to the "Dynamic Island" on supported iPhones or older iPhones using the "Picture-in-Picture" (PiP) mode. With Landing On, you can easily monitor real-time internet usage, track processor and RAM performance, check the frame rate per second, view the weather forecast, and use a timer, all through a fixed floating window on the screen, so you don't have to leave your current apps.
The app offers various styles and themes to choose from based on your preferences, but unfortunately, it's not free.
QueryDial is a Safari browser extension that enhances the online search experience by allowing users to create and use custom shortcuts directly within the search bar. It's a smart and worthwhile app that makes searching websites directly much easier. For example, you can add "yt" followed by any word in the Safari search bar to search for that word on YouTube, or "w" to search for something on Wikipedia, and so on.
The app is already equipped with several shortcuts that enable searching on most popular websites and also allows users to add new shortcuts for sites they prefer searching on.
The concept of this app is simple and clear from its name: it reminds you of the expiration dates of products, vegetables, and food items stored in your home. ExpireMate is completely free and has a clean graphical interface, which makes it very easy to use.
After launching it, you just need to tap on the plus sign (+) and enter the data for each product or item you have with an expiration date, such as the name, category, and set the expiration date. After that, you tap "Save." The app will then remind you when the expiration date is approaching through immediate notifications.
You can add an unlimited number of items for free. The app displays a list of added products along with the remaining time until their expiration dates. This app is very useful and can also be used for medications, subscriptions, food, and anything else you can think of.
This app's idea is quite simple: it automatically locks your phone when it's upside down or hasn't been moved for a while, to enhance data security from intruders and prevent you from having to press the power button every time you finish using your phone.
The app uses a combination of sensors to identify the phone's position to prevent accidental or unwanted lockouts and detect movement accurately. MotionLock is completely free and open source. Once launched, you'll need to grant it administrator permissions, after which it will run continuously in the background, with forced shutdowns disabled to protect the battery.
The app is incredibly small and doesn't take up much storage space.
This is a new app designed to provide iPhone users with high-quality wallpapers. WallpAI offers a wide selection of 4K and HD wallpapers to customize the look of your iPhone. The app focuses on providing attractive, high-resolution images suitable for both home screens and lock screens. Most of the wallpapers provided are AI-generated.
The app is designed with an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface, making it easy for users to browse different categories and find wallpapers that suit their tastes.
